Next you will visit Hutong.
Beijing Hutongs originated in the Yuan Dynasty. When the Mongols established the Yuan Dynasty and built Dadu (present-day Beijing), they brought their own traditions and management methods. At that time, in order to meet the needs of war and daily life, they built houses and courtyards in an orderly manner, and the passages between them formed Hutongs.
Walk through the central part of Hutong and visit the 600 year old bell and drum tower. Get to know the insight of life in Hutong with the family visit.
